On Saturday night 21st November, I went out with my dear friend Hilary to an Artful Crafts evening class for the advent calender.
Here is what I came home with that evening. I had painted most of the hardware, and covered the wee boxes, but it was a long way off to being finished for me. I had such a wonderful evening of chatting and playing, and meeting Liz from http://artfullcrafts.blogspot.com/ and Clarissa.
I spray painted the wooden base unit the next day and this gave it a really nice even finish and so easily got into all the cracks etc.

A few close ups of finishing details I made to my calender. I love the end product and cant wait till the kids start their countdown to Christmas on the 1st of December.
